SandyPaths mApp is an innovative mobile application created with one mission: to turn every journey through Melnik and its surroundings into a mindful experience — a journey that connects nature, culture, and the traveler’s personal story.
📱 What is it?
The application offers:
- Curated routes through sites of cultural and natural significance
- Audio stories and legends that bring places to life through the voices of the past
- Environmental tips for responsible behavior in sensitive zones
- Interactive maps with recommendations, curiosities, and hidden viewpoints
- Support for local communities through the promotion of crafts, traditions, and sustainable tourism
💡 Why did we create it?
Melnik is not just a tourist destination — it is a living archive of time and nature that deserves to be experienced with care and respect.
SandyPaths mApp is our response to the need for:
- a deeper connection with place
- cultural education through experience
- modern technology that complements authenticity rather than replacing it
🤝 Who stands behind the project?
SandyPaths mApp is implemented by the creative company Black Bros Sound Ltd. in partnership with the Archaeological Museum – Sandanski and its branch — the History Museum of Melnik.
The team brings together cultural experts, historians, environmentalists, and digital artists united by the ambition to create an interactive, educational, and emotional experience. All routes, stories, and recommendations are developed with attention to authenticity, sustainability, and local community involvement.
The project is carried out with the financial support of the National Culture Fund of Bulgaria under the program “Cultural Heritage.”
